Dance Profession

Métier Danse is an immersive experience created in partnership between École de danse Cadence and ZemmourBallet.

Over the course of one week, selected students, accompanied by their teachers, enter the heart of the company’s professional environment to discover what it truly means to work as a professional dance artist: taking part in daily training, working alongside the company’s performers, understanding the demands of the profession, and engaging in a genuine choreographic creation process.

This encounter creates a direct exchange between the young dancers, Cadence’s teaching team, and the artists of ZemmourBallet. Participants do not simply observe: they experience the discipline, attentiveness, availability, and commitment required to bring a work to life.

Through their contact with the company, the young dancers also discover Épaissisme, the creative grammar developed by ZemmourBallet. They explore a form of dance in which movement does not seek technical performance alone, but becomes the expression of an experience, a relationship with others, and a sensitive connection to the world.

Métier Danse therefore creates a bridge between training and professional practice: a rare opportunity to understand the profession from within, to place one’s technique within a real artistic process, and to experience Épaissiste creation firsthand.
